Troubleshooting The Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera Part # HM50002
Question:
I installed the camera on my truck and it worked at first now i have no power to the monitor i have no blown fuses and the reverse lights still work.

The first thing you will want to do is ensure that the t-connector plugs are securely attached to one another on the rear of the vehicle and all wires are snug in the connectors. It may be necessary to use a zip tie to prevent them from coming undone.
The next thing you will want to do is trace the wires ran into the vehicle cab from the camera to ensure there are no tears or frays.
Keep in mind that because the monitor is powered from the reverse light circuit of the vehicle, the power will only be supplied to the unit while in reverse.
