Tire Chains to Fit 33/12.5-17 Mud Tires on 2012 F-250 Super Duty

Question:

I have chains I purchased this last winter for my truck. 275 65 17. Ive since put 33 x 12.5 17 mud tires on. Is there a way to lengthen these chains by maybe 1 cross ladder, or will just lengthening the side chain to fit work?

Virtually all tire chains fit multiple tire sizes but it is unlikely that any chain that correctly fits 275/65-17 tires will fit on 33 x 12.5 17 mud tires. I do not know of any brand/model of tire chain that allows you to adjust their size to that degree. Chains do offer some adjustment capability to ensure a good fit but not quite that much.

All chains confirmed to fit your new 33/12.5-17 size tires, such as # PWE3229S, are shown on the linked page. I recommend checking your manual to confirm chains can still be used on your truck when it is equipped with the larger tires.
