How to Determine if Yakima Skybox NX 16 Will Allow Rear Hatch of 2015 Honda CR-V to Open

Question:

I have the Skyline towers Fixed point rack installed on my 2015 Honda CR-V with Flushed mounted rails and the JetStream 60inch bars and im trying to find the ideal Cargo box for camping gear. Right now Im looking at the Skybox 16 and Rocketbox 14. I know the Rocketbox will fit but some places on the internet says that the Skybox NX 16 will fit and then other places says it will hit the rear hatch. I thought I found a video on your website that showed that it will hit the hatch, but I cant find that video anymore. Im thinking that since the back of the Skybox 16 is tapered and the box is not right on top of the roof that the hatch maybe able to opened. One more thing is that we have the electric rear hatch and if it hits something as it is opening it will beep and start to close. What box do you recommend to maximize the cargo box volume? Also, i would like to be able to use the box on a 2011 Mazda 3 sedan with Skylink Towers and Jetstream bars.

Here's how you will figure out if the cargo box will interfere with the rear hatch of your vehicle.

You will need to slide your front crossbar as far forward as possible (if it's adjustable), and then you will need to measure from the center of the bar to the seam of the rear hatch. If that measurement you took is 47 inches or more, the Yakima Skybox NX 16 you referenced, part # Y95AV will fit without hatch interference.
