Can Battery For hydraulic System Be Charged With Tow vehicle 12V System
Question:
I have this 2024-7 charger on a marine gel battery to run the computer on a hydraulic system. It worked for 13 months then went south. My question, is there a better unit made for vibration, let me rephrase that, the high impacts of rough roads in Ok and IA? Im thinking this unit was wrecked internally from the beatings every day from the roads. Was thinking of a Constant Duty selanoid. Need something to keep a 775cca marine battery up that is charged from clearance lights of trl being on. Thanks

We do not offer any 12v to 12v battery chargers. The Tekonsha # 2024-07 battery charger we offer is designed to fit into Tekonsha battery cases and maintain the charge for a breakaway battery.
The battery chargers we offer that are designed to charge 12V batteries are used with shore power.
Typically, the 12V power on the trailer connector can be used to maintain a charge on a battery but does not supply enough power to charge a battery.
