Question:
Is this product waterproof

I contacted our representative at Bestop to inquire about the Supertop Collapsible Bed Cover, part # B76302. The representative informed me that part # B76302 is weather resistant but is not waterproof. For an item to be waterproof it must be able to keep water sealed out when submersed under water. The material of part # B76302 will resist rain, but there is a chance that water can get in from the seams or zippers of the cover.
Also, if the cover is stretched too much from water puddling up, water could potentially leak in through the fabric. This situation would happen if a large amount of water pooled on the cover and stretched it out.
The representative at Bestop informed me that to further prevent water from leaking in if the cover were to be stretched, that you could apply scotch guard on the inside of the cover.
For the most part though, the Bestop Supertop Collapsible Bed Cover will keep the items in your truck bed dry. There is just the chance that some water will get in through the seams around the windows and where the zippers are.
