Adapter Recommendation for Converting 4-Way of 2012 Toyota Highlander to 7-Way

Question:

I recently had a hitch and wiring harness installed on a 2012 Toyota Highlander. The wiring harness on the vehicle is a 4-pin flat and I need to get to 7-blade round on a camper. There wont be a need for trailer brake controller, reverse lights, or power from vehicle to camper. From what Ive read on your website, Hopkins adapter #37185 is what will work. Please verify if this is correct. Also have seen references to Hopkins adapter #47185. Is there a difference between 37185 and 47185?

The part # 37185 is exactly what you want. To convert a 4-way to a 7-way this is the only adapter you'd need. The extra wires of the harness would just need to be taped up and out of the way as all you'd need to do is plug the 4-ways in together and you'd be set.

The 47185 was an older version of the 37185 and that's why you don't see it as an active part number on our site.
