Can High-Low Adapter be Used for Scooter Carrier on Front Mount Trailer Hitch
Question:
I have a front hitch on my 2013 Ford F-150 . I want to haul my 225# scooter on it, but it is too low . Would the high-low adapter be a safe solution?

A high-low adapter, such as the Roadmaster # RM-048-6, can be used for hitch-mounted accessories like your scooter carrier on a front-mounted trailer hitch. This adapter has a 400 pound tongue weight capacity.
An important note to keep in mind with this or any other similar hitch adapter is that when in use, they will reduce the tongue weight capacity of your front mount trailer hitch by 50%. This means that if the hitch on your 2013 Ford F-150 has a vertical load limit of 500 pounds, it will be reduced to 250 pounds when using the high-low adapter. You will just need to make sure the combined weight of both the scooter and the carrier do not exceed the reduced capacity of your hitch.
I have attached a short demonstration video on this product for you to check out.
