Weight distribution is not vehicle specific so you can use it on your 2014 Ford F-150 FX2. The trailer hitch and the vehicle will have to be rated for weight distribution which they will be with your particular truck so no worries there.
To choose a weight distribution system you will need to go by the total tongue weight of the set up. This is calculated by taking the tongue weight of the trailer, when loaded and ready to tow, and adding to that the weight of anything loaded behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle.
Curt short arm system # C17422 is rated for 1,000 to 1,500 pounds tongue weight. If the total tongue weight is within that range you can use this system. The included shank has a maximum drop of 1/2 inch and max rise of 7-1/2 inches. If more rise or drop is needed to tow the trailer level other shanks are available separately.
