Will Demco 5th Adapter for B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch Fit with Husky 5th Wheel Hitch
Question:
I JUST ORDERED THE X 5 ADAPTER AND I CURRENTLY HAVE A 2012 F350 SUPER DUTY 8 FOOT BED WITH A B and W TURN OVER BALL IN THE BED. IN MY SEARCH I AM FINDING OUT THAT THE HUSKY 16 K FITH WHEEL HITCH DOES NOT WORK FOR THAT ADAPTER. SO I AM WONDERING IF IT IS COMPATIBLE WITH THE DEMCO FITHWHEEL ADAPTER. THEY SAID SOMETHING ABOUT A CROSSMEBER ON THE HUSKY WILL NOT GIVE ME A GOOD OR TIGHT FIT WITH THE X5 . SO I WANT TO KNOW SHOULD I HAVE ORDERED THE DEMCO Band W TURNOVER BALL ADAPTER TO BE ABLE TO USE THE HITCH I CURRENTLY HAVE OR NOT.

The Curt X5 Adapter # 16310 does have an issue with some fifth wheel hitches because of the cross member making contact with the center of the adapter. The X5 is raised slightly in the middle that causes this.
I verified with Demco that their adapter for B&W Turnoverball gooseneck hitches, part # DM6140, will work with your Husky hitch as long as it fits into industry standard rails.
