Dual Hitch Adapter Recommendation for 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee To Tow and Carry Bike Rack
Question:
Hello I have a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Lmited with dealer installed class iv hitch. This is NOT the factory installed tow package with leveling suspension or sway control. Just a regular Limited Cherokee with dealer class iv hitch as I said. I want to get a dual hitch extender so I can tow a 2000 pound pop up tent camper 2000 is loaded weight, not empty, and a two bike Thule rack simultaneously. Ive read on your site that using a dual hitch extender lowers hitch rating by 50. With my setup and a class iv hitch is this feasible? If so which dual extender is best? Shorter the better? Thank you!

The best adapter for what you are looking for is going to be the part # D210. The lower portion of this is a ball mount which will allow you to tow your trailer and the upper portion is a hitch opening that your bike rack would fit.
What's also great about this adapter is that it doesn't reduce the capacity of the hitch it is installed in. I attached a review video for this adapter as well.
Another outside the box option you might consider is the Bike Rack Bunk part # CC-275. It installs by attaching to the A-frame rails of a trailer to give a location for a bike rack to install up above.
