How To Haul Multiple Ladders On The Roof Of A 2016 Ford Transit Connect

Question:

I have a 2016 ford transit connect XLT LWB. It has factory rails but they are not raised. They are flushed with the roof almost and run from front to back. I could take picture and send it. I need to attach a roof rack to carry some ladders. Thanks for your help

I have two options for you to consider in order to carry a ladder/ladders on the roof of your 2016 Ford Transit Connect. One of which is designed specifically for ladders and will require you to remove your current factory side rails whereas the other will not. My recommendation for hauling a ladder/ladders will depend on the amount of time you will be hauling the ladders on your vehicle.

For daily ladder hauling, I recommend using the TracRac TracVan ES Van Ladder Rack part # TH29611XT as these are specifically designed to haul a ladder/ladders on the roof of your vehicle with built in adjustable locking sliders for security. However, as mentioned above, you will need to remove your factory side rails in order for this to work.

The next option to consider is ideally more for occasional ladder hauling trips. For this, I recommend the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbar System part # RRVA137B, part # RRRLT600H, and part # RRRTS546.

I have attached a review video for you.
