Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2001 Chevy S-10 with Factory Step Bumper
Question:
Heya, Looking at the bottom of my step bumper I dont see how this will attach properly. The step bumper appears to be hollow on the bottom, rather than a flat stock and has tabs extending down at angles with holes in them, presumably for bolting something on there.

For your 2001 Chevy S-10 with the factory step bumper what you would need is the Curt hitch part # C13021 which is a confirmed fit for your truck and it's configuration. The # C19031 that you referenced is a universal install hitch that isn't designed for your truck specifically so it's not going to fit it easily if at all.
