Installing the Prodigy P3 Brake Controller on a 2016 Ford F-150
Question:
Hi Im putting in a P3 in a 2016 F-150. Found the connector under the dash and used the 22292. I have the 4 pin connector in back. The dash connector has 12 volts direct to battery. Is there a way to turn off the P3? It stays on all the time. And is there a bluntinch wire in back for the brake control for a 7 pin connector? Thanks

The Prodigy P3 Brake Controller, # 90195, will go into a sleep mode after 15 minutes of inactivity. The controller will never completely turn off. While in sleep mode the P3 will only draw a few milliamps of power, so battery drain will be minimal.
As for installing a 7-way connector of your 2016 Ford F-150, the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller, # ETBC7. The kit will include a 7-way connector, wiring, and components needed to connect the P3 to your 7-way. Using the included duplex wire, the blue wire on the # 22292 harness will need to be spliced in to connect the brake wire circuit at the 7-way.
