Does Dealer Need to Turn on Aftermarket Brake Controller in a 2015 Ford F-150?
Question:
I have a 2015 F-150 and need a brake controller, I have the towing package so the wiring is already behind the dash. My question is on 2015 and up the factory controller requires you get the dealership to hook up a computer and turn the brake controller on, do you still need to do this with an aftermarket controller and can you recommend a good plug-and-play model?

There will be no need for you to go to take your 2015 Ford F-150 to the dealer to have them turn on an aftermarket brake controller. The brake controller I recommend that you need only an adapter for is the Curt Discovery # C84VV.
Since you already have the factory tow package, just use the Plug-In Wiring Adapter # C51436.
Plug one side into the brake controller and the other side into the wiring on your F-150 and you are done.
