What Is The Brightest Halogen Headlight Bulb
Question:
The brightest 9005 bulb closest to HID look

Expert Reply:
HID refers to high intensity discharge. The color of the light will depend on the color temperature of the bulb. There are 4 common color temperature ratings. A 4000K temperature will depict itself as a yellowish light. A 5,000K color temperature will be a pure white light. A 6,000K temperature will result in a crystal white light and a 8,000K color temperature will have a light blue appearance.
As the standard headlight bulbs for most automobile manufacturers are not rated for use with HID bulbs, it is often required to use a ballistics kit for installation. If you do not wish to convert your headlights to HID, then the replacement headlight bulb that will mimic the color temperature of an HID kit is our Vision X 9005 Halogen Headlight Bulbs with Relay Harness part # VX-H9005-R which has a color temperature of 4,800K. As these bulbs require a much greater wattage than factory bulbs, you will have to install the relay harness which is included in the kit.
