Recommended Tow Bar Wiring for 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Question:

My 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara has the factory tow package, which includes tow hitch and 4 plug connector at rear of vehicle. Im setting it up for towing behind my motorhome and am looking at the TM781123 as it indicates you simply plug this inline between the current factory plugs at the taillights. Does it work the same on a JKU that already has the factory tow package installed?

I do have a solution for you, however the TrailerMate Custom Tail Light Wiring Kit # TM781123 referenced in your question is designed to work on the 1998-2006 Jeep Wrangler.

For your 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara, I instead recommend the Hopkins Custom Tail Light Wiring Kit # HM56200. This will quickly and easily plug in to the connection points located behind your Jeep's tail lights and also provide a 4-way flat plug at the front of the vehicle to connect to the motor home. This will work with your Jeep even if it has the factory tow package installed.
