Replacement Locking Mechanism For The Self-Locking Adjustable 2-Ball Mount Part # DTALBM6407
Question:
Re: DTALBM6407 I see the company logo on your website listed as FastWay and I see this product on their webiste, but I also see on your webiste a DT on the moving picture showing the locking mechanism in action. I see Diversi-Tech mentioned on the internet as well. Are they the same company? Also, I have seen a few online reviews with people having issues with the lock sticking. What could you put in the lock to help prevent this? Oil? WD40? Lithium Grease? Thanks.

In the last few years, Fastway acquired Diversi-Tech. Therefore, all Diversi-Tech products are now being sold under the Fastway brand.
In regards to the Self-Locking, Adjustable 2-Ball Mount w Chrome Balls part # DTALBM6407, I spoke with my contact at Fastway aka "Diversi-Tech" and they informed me that you would need to use air tool oil to help lubricate the locking mechanism on the ball mount. I would not recommend WD-40 as this would cause the existing oil in the mechanism to dry out.
If this still doesn't fix your problem, I recommend replacing the locking mechanism with our Re-Keying Kit for DTLBM and DTALBM Series Self-Locking Aluminum Ball Mounts part # DTLBM02RK.
