Installing P3 Brake Controller On 2014 GMC Yukon With No Plug-In Port
Question:
I bought the optional wiring harness for the P3 for my 2014 Yukon. After plugging it in and connecting the controller, my vehicle will not start. Nothing lights up on the dash - just dead. When I unplug it the vehicle starts normally. Please help! Thanks.

The 2014 GMC Yukon does not have an option for a plug-in adapter on a 2014 Yukon. They started offering the plug-in option on the 2015 models and newer.
I have attached a helpful article that explains in detail how you wire the brake controller to your vehicle. There are wires under the left side of the instrument panel to the left of the steering column you will need to use for the brake controller. You can use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to test the wires for function when installing the brake controller.
