Availability of Demco Hijacker Autoslide Locking Plate for MOR/ryde Pin Box

Question:

Bought a new trailer with cushion mor ride pin box which dealer coupled up to a new demco 18k auto slider. I just found after a few times using it things between the pin box and auto slider are getting all twisted up. I did some research and found it needs a locking plate to keep the auto slider locked in with the angle of the trailer which makes sense. I found a 6025 and 6095 locking plate. What is the difference? 6095 looks like it bolts on and could be removed if the trailer gets towed with a stationary hitch. Is this correct? 6025 looks like a new base plate for the mor ride but the trailer could no longer be hitched to a stationary hitch. Is this correct?

The difference between the Demco Hijacker Autoslide Locking Plate # DM6025 and # DM6095 is the pin box they are each designed to work with. The # DM6025 is compatible with MOR/ryde pin boxes like what you have on your trailer, while the # DM6095 is designed to work with the Trailair Tri-Glide pin boxes.

As you mentioned, the locking plate will prevent the king pin from pivoting inside your Demco Autoslide fifth wheel trailer hitch. It is a simple, bolt-on installation and all the necessary hardware is included.
