do I have to modify anything to install the above. Is it bolted on or welded.? aprox time to install by mechanic.2008 ford explorer limited model

You will not need to modify, drill, or cut anything to install the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver, part # 31545, on your 2008 Ford Explorer Limited.
Part # 31545 is bolted to the frame rails of your Ford Explorer.
Curt rates the installation time for part # 31545 at 30 minutes. You should be able to install the hitch in approximately 30 minutes, maybe less. I would recommend having someone assist you in raising the Curt Front Mount Hitch into place as you fasten the bolts down.
