Replacement Leaf Spring for 3,500 lb Axle that is 25-1/8 inches Long
Question:
I recently had a leaf spring break on my single axle travel trailer R Vision Trail Lite Cross Over 18QB in a very remote area not good. It looks like the replacement spring is your part number e54SR for 3500 lb axle. was wondering if it would be better / stronger / longer life to use SP 218275 rated for 5000 lb axle. dont want another spring to break.

Going with a higher rated spring won't necessarily make the spring less likely to break. Best option is go with the proper weight capacity like the part # e54SR since you have a 3,500 lb axle. Going with a higher rated spring will make the one side of the trailer stiffer over bumps which would be somewhat dangerous.
