Can I Install Rubber Bumpers on the Front Side of the Reece # RP30047 5th Wheel Hitch
Question:
Why would I not put four rubber bumpers on my hitch, Two in front and two in back. Please explain.

The rear bumpers on the on the Reese # RP30047 5th Wheel Hitch level when hooking your vehicle up to your 5th wheel trailer. These bumpers keep the head from moving too far back past level.
The hitch head needs to tilt forward to allow the hitch to couple with the 5th wheel king pin. Installing bumpers on the front of the hitch will not allow your 5th wheel hitch to work properly.
