Easy to Load and Unload Platform Bike Rack to Carry 2 Adult Bikes and 2 Childrens Bikes
Question:
Hi there, I am looking for a rack for 2 adult road bikes and 2 childrens bikes. Is this a good fit. How easy is it to get the bikes on? I would like it to be easy for my wife to do on her own. Swagman Quad 2+2 2-Bike and 4-Bike Platform Rack - 2" Hitches Item # S64FR

The Swagman Quad 2+2 # S64FR is a great bike rack and will carry all four of your bikes as long as they're within the 45 pound limit and have a wheelbase between 15 to 51 inches. However, to load the bikes you'll want the heaviest bike closest to the vehicle so getting the first bike loaded may be challenging for some people. See the video I've linked to see the bikes being unloaded. This should give you an idea.
For another option I'll suggest is the Saris SuperClamp EX Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 2" Hitches # SA4026F. This rack has upright hooks that hold the bike by the wheels and will fold down. This rack will hold two bikes up to 60 pounds each for the two positions closest to the vehicle and 35 pounds for the other two bikes. It has a 47-inch wheelbase. This type of rack works best on bikes that do not have front fenders.
Also, both of the Swagman racks include locks for the rack and the bikes.
