Will the Select Plus 20K and Outboard Rail Kit RP56001-53 Fit a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD

i have a 2012 chevy silverado 2500hd with a 8 ft bed. is this the correct hitch for my truck reese rp30867. rp56001-53. i also need a harness from the 5th wheel as wheel. thanks

The Reese Select Plus 5th Wheel Hitches are some of my favorite to recommend because of all of the features that they have to offer. As long as your trailer does not weigh over 20K and doesn't exceed the vertical load limit of 5,000 lbs the Select Plus 20K # RP30081 is an excellent option to use with your 2012 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD with an 8 ft bed.

The Reese Quick-Install Custom Base Rails and Outboard Installation Kit # RP56001-53 that you referenced is also a confirmed fit for your Silverado and will offer you a much easier install than going with a Universal Rail Kit like part # RP30035.

To add a 7-Way connector in the bed of your truck I recommend going with the Hopkins Endurance 5th Wheel/Gooseneck 90-Degree Wiring Harness with 7-Pole Plug # 41157. This will simply T off of your current 7-Way and provide enough slack to mount the connector in your bed.
