Overall Length and Ground Clearance Estimate for the RockyMounts Split Rail Bike Rack
Question:
what is the distance from the center of hitch pin hole to farthest part of rack when folded down? i.e. with bikes in place Also clearance from ground?

I will be happy to get you the measurements you are looking for. The RockyMounts Split Rail bike rack # RKY11404 measures 32-1/4 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the end of the bike rack when folded down to load bikes.
Ground clearance will depend on the distance from the ground to the top of the receiver opening so if you take that measurement on your vehicle and then add another 5 inches that is the approximate location of the bottom of the spine that holds the rails the bikes set on. I do not foresee any issues with ground clearance using this rack. I have included a link to a video featuring this rack for you.
