For your vehicle I have a couple of towing mirror recommendations, but the Longview Custom Slide On Towing Mirrors, part # CTM400, will not work on your 2005 Toyota 4Runner. The mirrors have a different outer construction that prohibits the use of the slide on towing mirror, part # CTM400.
The Universal Clip-On Towing Mirror, part # 7070, is easy to install and remove, once the initial setup is done. I am including a link to a video review on this strap-on mirror.
Another towing mirror is the CIPA Deluxe Door Mount Mirror, part # 11650. This mirror works really well, attaches to the bottom of the door and also in between the top of the door and the window.
