Should Pipe Sealant be Used When Installation Propane Tank 1/4 MPT Pigtail

When installing a 1/4inch MPT propane tank pigtail is it necessary to use a thread sealant on the regulator end of the pigtail?

Yes you should use some kind of sealant on threaded fittings whether it is the tape or pipe dope.
Using the white Teflon tape will work well on installing the propane pigtail top the LP regulator. Just wrap the tape on the threads only.
