The Tekonsha Prodigy RF Wireless Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 3 Axles - Proportional # TK94FR is compatible with your 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk with factor tow package. This controller utilizes the brake light wiring and the 12V wiring of the factory 7 way to function. This unit connects to your trailer and has a wireless connection to the handheld remote that is power by your 12V outlet in your Jeep. The remote will show you intensity, diagnostics, and has a manual override function. It utilizes and internal inertia sensor to give it the proportional braking power as well as recognizes deceleration. I've attached a video of the installation for you.
