Will the Demco 5th Wheel Adapter for the GM Factory Towing Package be Compatible w/ a Reese Hitch

Question:

Will my 16k Reese slider hitch work with the demco rail adapter? I am installing it in a 2017 GMC Sierra 2500 hd. I wasnt sure if using a demco adapter with a Reese hitch was feasible. I appreciate any info you could give me reguarding this issue.

Yes, if your Reese 16K Slider 5th wheel hitch attaches to the standard above-bed rails, then using the Demco 5th Wheel Adapter, # DM6194, will allow to install this hitch in your 2017 GMC Sierra 2500 truck w/ factory towing package.

The unit will drop into the pucks of your truck's bed with no extra drilling or modification to your vehicle or hitch. Then the Reese hitch will connect to the Demco adapter.

I also recommend the Hopkins 5th Wheel/Gooseneck 90-Degree Wiring Harness, # 41157. This harness will allow to add an 7-way connector into the bed of your truck to make for and easier connection between the truck and the 5th wheel trailer.
