Available 7-Way to 4-Pole Trailer Wiring Adapters

Question:

I am looking for an adapter for the following application. Trailer is 4 pin flat - vehicle is 7 way. Not sure if this exists since it eliminates the brakes. I occasionally need someone to transport my empty trailer back to me that will only have the 4 pin flat and its not always the same vehicle.

We do offer trailer wiring adapters that can allow connecting different wiring formats such as a 4-pole and a 7-way. But as you noted, if you convert 7-way vehicle wiring down to 4-pole trailer wiring you do naturally lose 3 circuits: 12V auxiliary power, reverse lights and trailer brake power.

I suggest using a cable type adapter like # HM47065 since it provides strain-relief, unlike the solid adapters such as # PK12716.
