What is the Correct Hub Replacement for Dexter 8-208?

Question:

I'm needing new hubs. The old part number is Dexter 8-208, 5 on 4.5 inch standard hub. What would be the new hub part number to replace these?

The Trailer Hub Assembly for 3,500 lb Axles, # 84550BX, was confirmed by Dexter to be the assembly which replaced part 8-208, but please note that it does have a 5 on 5 bolt pattern, and you mentioned yours was a 5 on 4.5. To determine which bolt pattern you have, please refer to the help article I have linked.

You do have an option for a 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern with Trailer Hub Assembly, # 84545BX. It is rated for 3,500 lb axles, and this assembly contains the same inner bearings, outer bearings, races and grease cap as the other assembly, so it will work if 5 on 4-1/2 is the bolt pattern on your wheels.

I have added links to video reviews of each of these products for you, along with a video of this hub being installed.
