Replacement Bearing Recommendation for Dexter 6,000 lb Axles

Question:

I have a 2006 Forrest River Cedar Creek Silverback 33LBHTS and would like to know the part numbers for replacing the bearings and greases seal. The trailer has sat for almost 10 years so I know its not in need of a complete rebuild, just some new bearings. It has the factory Dexter 6,000# EZ-Lube axles.

We have two bearing kits that could fit for your Dexter 6,000 lb axles. The difference is the seal size. The part # BK3-100 is the kit that has the correct bearings and a seal with an inner diameter of 2.25 inches. This is most likely what you need.

The other options is the part # BK3-110 which has a grease seal with an inner diameter of 2.125 inches.

You would need to measure the outer diameter of the spindle your seal rides on to determine which kit you'd need.

If your existing grease seal has a 2.250" inner diameter (which would be more common) you can use the Bearing Kit # BK3-100. If you have the smaller 2.125" inner diameter seal the right kit would be part # BK3-110. The bearings included in these kits are considered "high speed".
