Need a Replacement Anti Rattle Tongue Insert for a Older Yakima Bike Rack

Question:

Hi, I have an older model of the Yakima 2 bike carrier I would guess it to be 5 years old my local dealer where I purchased the carrier from says it is too old and cannot get replacement parts the part is cube shaped - and fits over the tongue of the carrier itself before it is inserted into the hitch - it keeps the carrier from rocking back and forth. Hopefully you can help. Thanks

I have a solution for your bike rack. Unfortunately, it looks like the replacement part is no longer available.

However, using the Brophy 2 inch to 1-1/4 inch Receiver Sleeve, # HT02, will be the best option to allow you to mount your bike rack to any 2 inch receiver hitch. The threaded pin will still be able to tighten the rack's hitch shank to the hitch to help prevent the rack from rattling in the hitch.

I also recommend the Trailer hitch Receiver Lock, # e98880, to secure the sleeve in to your receiver opening to deter theft of your bike rack from the hitch.
