Will Non-Submersible Clearance Lights Work on a Boat Trailer?

Question:

I was reading where this light is not submersible but also saw where one person put it on their boat trailer. I bought this light at a boat repair shop and they said it is submersible. Can it be used on a boat trailer? Thanks

The Square LED Trailer Clearance Light, # MCL36RB, is non-submersible, so if it gets submerged in water, the possible damage includes short circuits, cracked lenses and burned out bulbs. This light is not sealed, and does not have a drain hole which lets water out if it does get in, like some submersible lights do.
