Bike Rack Solution for Carrying Kids and Womens Bikes that Does Not Require Frame Adapter

Question:

I will be carrying two kids bikes and one ladies hybrid bike on my yakima ridgeback 5. I dont really want to pay $36 for an adapter for three bikes. Can you help me get creative? Thank you.

I really wish there was a different way but the adapter bars like part # UB01 are the only way to carry bikes without a horizontal top tube on a hanging bike rack. Otherwise the bikes will be at a dangerous angle or just not be able to be carried.

The only other alternative, and I don't really suspect it's a solution you'd be too interested in, is a platform bike rack since the bike wheels sit in cradles. I realize it's quite a bit of money, but the RockyMounts MonoRail part # RKY10004-10005 is a 3 bike rack that can carry your kids and womens bikes without needing an adapter.
