Proper Tire Weight Rating For A 2011 Keystone Laredo
Question:
Hello, I have a 2011 Laredo 5er that has a GVW of 10,000, with dual 5000lb axles. What weight rating do I need for tires? I don't know the size I have right now but I believe the name is King something. Thanks

The trailer manufacturer determines what size tire and load range is adequate for the trailer.
Personally, when looking for trailer tires, I try to find a tire that meets or exceeds the weight capacity of my axle in the same size tire used by the manufacturer. This allows for a small safety net considering the axles do not hold the entire gross trailer weight(GTW). On 5th wheel applications, about 20% of the weight is resting on the rear axle of the tow vehicle if loaded properly. The factory tire size of your trailer can be found by either looking at the markings on the tire itself or locating the trailer's information tag.
We offer a wide variety of tire and wheel combinations in a number of sizes and load ranges. To know which tire or tire and wheel combo will work best on your trailer, you can use the information above to provide me with the correct size and I would be happy to make a more specific recommendation.
