Is Air Dam Trimming Required to Mount Curt Front Receiver on a 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4
Question:
Hello, Im looking at purchasing your front mount hitch for my 2011 Ram 1500. Could you tell me the approximate distance from the lower mounting bracket to the top of the receiver? Id like to know if Im going to have to cut my air dam or if it will clear it. I have about 4-3/4inch - 5inch from the lower mount to the bottom of the air dam. Thanks,

I went out to the warehouse to measure Curt front mount receiver # 31374 for you. From the top of the lower mounting flanges to the top of the receiver measure 4-1/8 inches. So it does sound like you will need to trim a little. Though you might be able to just bend the air dam in that location depending on how much overlap there is.
