I spoke with my contact at Roadmaster regarding the issues you are having with the Brake-Lite Relay Kit # RM-88400 on your 2015 Jeep Cherokee. There are a couple possible reasons for why you are having trouble with the push-button start and also the cruise control in your vehicle.
First, he said to just verify that when installing the kit, you followed the "Instruction Sheet B" in the included installation manual. This refers to the installation instructions for vehicles that have a push button ignition. "Instruction Sheet A" is for vehicles that start with an ignition key and if these steps were followed on your Jeep, it very well may lead to the issues you are experiencing.
Next, there are particular installation steps that are specific to the 2014-15 Jeep Cherokees because they have a special self-adjusting brake light switch that deactivates itself when removed from its holder. This makes finding the correct wire for the Brake-LIte Relay very difficult. Roadmaster has identified the correct wire on your vehicle to simplify installation, as it's very easy to connect with the wrong circuit in the 2015 Jeep Cherokee. Connecting to the wrong circuit will lead to the issues you are having. Because of this, Roadmaster has released specific installation steps for your Jeep, which I have attached as an image for you to look through.
If you are not able to resolve these issues, please let me know and I will be happy to look into this further.
