Platform Bike Rack Similar to Thule T2 that Fits both 2 inch and 1-1/4 inch Hitch Size

Question:

Im considering getting a Thule T2 Pro XTR 2 Bike Platform Rack - 1-1/4inch Hitch #TH23JV But it must fit on 2 vehicles. The primary is my 2017 Honda Ridgeline with 2inch hitch receiver. The second vehicle is a CRV with 1-1/4inch receiver. I have a Curt 1-1/4inch adapter mounted to the trucks receiver to hold my current rack. With an anti-rattle bolt securing the adapter to the trucks 2inch receiver it works great. Will this solution work if I purchased the Thule rack in 1-1/4. Or conversely, would a 1-1/4inch - 2inch adapter work in a pinch if I went with the 2inch version of the Thule?

The Thule T2 bike rack is an excellent rack but there really isn't a great way to use it in different hitch sizes since Thule makes a dedicated 2 inch version # TH83JV and a 1-1/4 inch version # TH23JV as well. Hitch adapters are kind of a mess too since they add quite a bit of movement and can sometimes cut hitch capacity.

For a similar rack that can easily do both hitch sizes I would recommend the Saris SuperClamp part # SA4025F which would be an excellent option. It's very similar to the Thule in terms of quality and it being a platform rack that only touches the tires but it can easily accommodate both hitch sizes.
