Best Sliding 5th Wheel Hitch For A Chevrolet Silverado 2500 With B&W Gooseneck
Question:
I have a B&W turnover ball gooseneck hitch in my Chevrolet 2500 and I am wondering if the Curt 5th Wheel Rails Adapter for B&W Turnover Goosenecks are ok for use with a Demco auto slider, since the demco adapter is not?

I have an easy to use sliding 5th wheel hitch that will work with your B&W Under Bed Gooseneck however, the Demco Autoslide is not compatible with any gooseneck rail adapters. The reason for this is that the Autoslide creates too much torque on the centralized mounting point of the gooseneck hitch.
I recommend the B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # BWRVK3400-5W as it will mount directly into your existing B&W Gooseneck without the need for a set of adapter rails. In addition, the Companion is one of our most popular 5th wheel hitches as it is extremely easy to operate and maintain.
In order to install a Demco Autoslide in the bed of your Chevrolet 2500, you will need to remove the B&W gooseneck and use a standard above or below bed rail kit, compatible with your Chevrolet 2500. In order to recommend one of these options for you I would need to know the exact year of your truck. If you would like to provide me with this information I would be glad to offer my recommendation. I have attached the fit guide in addition to a review of the B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch for your review.
