Recommending a Weight Distribution System with a Tongue Weight Between 600 - 1,200 lbs
Question:
I own a 27-foot Outback front garage toy hauler. Empty, the tongue weight is 600 lbs. With a couple motorcycles loaded, it can become 1,000-1,200 lbs. I'm interested in the Reese Steadi-Flex weight distribution system. What lbs hitch do you recommend?

There are a number of quality systems from Reese when it comes to weight distribution, though I recommend the Strait-Line Weight Distribution System w/ Sway Control # RP66084.
Due to the weight of the motorcycles and how they expand your vehicle's tongue weight, you need a heavier-duty system, and this particular option has an effective tongue weight rating of 600-1,200 lbs.
This is the correct range for you because for optimal performance, the total tongue weight for a weight distribution system - which includes the loaded tongue weight of your trailer plus the weight of any cargo stored behind the rear axle of your tow vehicle - should fall in the range of the system's effective tongue weight.
Also keep in mind that you will need a hitch ball with this system, part # C40030.
