Recommended Transmission Cooler For 2013 Chevy Traverse

Question:

Hello! Im wanting to add a tranny cooler to my 2013 chevy traverse 2WD LT. I would like to know everything I will need to do this. I DO NOT have the towing package on my traverse. Im only pulling a 6x12 enclosed trailer that total ways about 2,000 LBS. I just want the extra cooling to help when I tow. I thought about doing the HD radiator as well. Thanks

For your 2013 Chevy Traverse, I recommend the Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit w/Barb Inlets - Class IV - Efficient # D13504. This transmission cooler will work very well for your application and will simply connect between your radiator and transmission return line to further cool the fluid. I recommend using the Derale Snap-In Radiator Adapter Fitting for GM # D13035 to make this connection to your radiator easier with this manufacturer specific fitting.

The transmission cooler comes with everything you need to install and mount this to your radiator. If you want to install this to the frame near the radiator, I recommend the Derale Universal Bendable Metal Mount Kit # D13002. This is not required, but is the preference for some folks.

If you want to upgrade your radiator fan, we have electric fan options I've linked based on the space you have available. We have both puller and pusher options.
