Converting Yakima HoldUp Bike Rack for 1-1/4 Inch Hitch Receivers to Fit a 2 Inch Hitch Receiver
Question:
I have a yakima holdup 2. It is set up for a 1 1/4 inch hitch. my truck has a 2 inch hitch mount. I got the adapter to go down from the 2 inch to the 1 1/4inch but the rack moves around terribly! I need to find a good solution for a tight fit for my rack to my truck hitch. how do I go about that.

Instead of using a hitch reducer I recommend replacing the spine of the Yakima HoldUp # Y02445 you currently have. You can replace the spine with the 1-1/4 inch shank with one that has a 2 inch shank. The part you need is # 8890277.
This will give you the best fit on your truck's 2 inch receiver.
