Which Brake Controler is Best for a 2008 Chevrolet Suburban

Which brake controller is best for a 2008 Chevy Suburban? The Prodigy 90185 or P2 90885? Do we need a wiring harness adapter?

For the 2008 Chevy Suburban I would recommend the Prodigy P2 brake controller, item # 90885. The P2 is a newer version of the prodigy and has some features the Prodigy lacks, like troubleshooting diagnostics and compatibility with electric over hydraulic brake systems.
You will not need a wiring harness for the 2008 Suburban. There will be a bundle of wires under the dash with a white tag on them. This bundle is taped to the wiring harness and you will connect the wires as follows. The Red/Black wire in the bundle will connect to the black wire coming out of the brake controller. The white wire will be connected to the white wire. The light blue/white wire will be connected to the red wire from the brake controller and the dark blue wire will connect to the blues wire. We have an article, see link, that shows where the wire bundle is located and explains the wiring connections that need to be made.
We also have a video installation on a 2011 Silverado that should be very helpful when installing the brake controller. At the very beginning of the video it shows the brake controller wiring location under the dash.
