Does Rhino Rack Roof Rack JA7976 Fit 2017 Chevrolet Trax
Question:
the measurement between the roof rails on my Trax have a space at 36inch inside edge to inside edge. My concern is the Rhino-rack cross bars that I want say they are 28.5inch long with an adjustable 3-15/16inch space. Divided in half, that is not long enough to fit the space of the Trax roof rails. How do these bars come up for my car when they are not long enough? Am I misreading the info on the bars? I want to order these but if they arrive and are the right size, then I have to pay shipping to return them. The Rhino Rack crossbar kit part # JA7976 that you referenced is a confirmed fit for your 2017 Chevy Trax as Rhino Rack has test fit on your vehicle and determined that it is a perfect fit.
The crossbar dimensions are a bit confusing because the 28-1/2 inch dimension that you mentioned is the length of the crossbar section in the middle of the assemblies. The foot section of the bars is pretty wide and that's why that dimension seems off.
