Tekonsha Prodigy 3 Plug-In Brake Controller Adapter For A 2011 Dodge Ram 1500

Expert Reply:
The correct adapter for your 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 is the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers - Dodge, part # 3021-P. The Tekonsha Wiring Adapter is designed to be a plug-and-play fit for trucks with a factory 7-way (Tow Package Option) connector. If your truck is equipped with this then you will simply plug the adapter into the existing pigtail located under the driver's side dash to the left of the steering column, taped to the factory harness.
However, If you do not have a factory tow package then the Prodigy P3 brake controller adapter will need to be hardwired into the factory harness. This can be done with the use of our Replacement Brake Control Plug-In Harness part # 20127.
I have attached an installation video of the Prodigy 3 brake controller on a 2013 Dodge Ram 1500 for you to review which is similar but not exactly the same as your 2011. Please refer to the attached instruction manual for an exact installation guide.
