Recommendation for a Bike Rack to Carry an Electric Bike on an SUV

Question:

Im considering a new to me car and in part because I may want to carry an electric bike. Ive gathered that the bike rack would be attached to a trailer hitch. It seems most SUVs have a lift up rear door... so how does the bike always have to be removed? Ive been dreaming about something like the Townie Go and on the car side Im not sure. Ive friends that have Envision, Lexus 350RX, Rav4, and Forrester. Im leaning towards Envision or perhaps a used Lexus. Id hate to buy a car and then not be able to have an appropriate bike rack.

I have a solution for you. The Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Carrier for Electric Bikes, # HLY84FR, is the bike rack I recommend.

The Hollywood Racks rack is a two bike rack that is designed to carry the heavier weight that many electric bikes now carry. The rack will fit a 2 inch trailer hitch and has a sturdy steel construction.

The feature I like the most of the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider is the rack's ability to tilt away from your vehicle with the bike still loaded in the rack. This feature will allow you the ability to access the rear cargo area of your vehicle.

If the vehicle that you purchase does not included a hitch, then feel free to contact us back and we would be happy to help you find the correct fit for your car.
