Recommendation on Trailer Wheels and Tires to Fit a Travel Camper

Question:

I recently bought a 1989 kiwi by jayco travel camper, I believe its a 17A. The registration says 3000 lb gvw. Im trying to get it inspected but the garage said it has car tires and car rims on it. Theyre 15rims. I do not have a manual, do you know the correct rim and tire size? I was going to get these: Americana Tires and Wheels 3S636 205/75/D15 Do you think they will be ok and safe? The picture I included is my camper and my 2003 Toyota Sequoia which I just ordered a brake controller for from etrailer Thanks for the help

To find the correct size wheel and tire combo for your Jayco travel camper, we will need the tire size and wheel bolt pattern on your axle hub. The attached article will explain how to find the correct wheel bolt pattern.

If your tire is 205/75D15, then the attached link will show all the tire and wheel combos for this size tire with all the available wheel bolt patterns.

I recommend a radial tire, like the Provider ST205/75R15 Radial Tire # TA47VR, over bias tires for your trailer. Radial tires will give you better ground contact, traction, and will have better tread wear than bias ply tires.

The link will have both bias and radial tires for you to review.
