The Reese fifth wheel rail kit part # RP50064-58 is a confirmed fit for your 2006 GMC Sierra 1500 short bed and is compatible with your Husky fifth wheel hitch. It's a custom install kit which means drilling will be minimized and install time will be cut in half when compared to a universal kit.
The rear rail edge will be 47-1/2 inches from the rear edge of the truck bed. The rail in front of it will be placed with a hitch once the rear rail is located.
