When installed properly the Hopkins Agility Trailer Brake Controller # HM47294 will not affect the brakes of your truck in any way.

Could a brake controller affect the braking of the tow vehicle if it was installed incorrectly?

@Charlene We've heard of it negatively affecting cruise control functions but that's pretty rare. I wouldn't say it's impossible for it to affect the braking system like maybe the ABS if something was massively messed up but that would be hard to do.
